Vision and Purpose

Reality Check is a ministry within and accountable to the Assemblies of God, USA.

vision

• To place ALL of the untapped dramatic and artistic talents of the congregation of the members of the Asseblies of God at the feet of our Lord Jesus.
• To produce and encourage the production of Spirit filled movies until all of the souls of the world are restored to God through faith in Jesus Christ at alters of churches, in living rooms and in the isles of movie theaters.

purpose

• Reach through the walls that the unsaved build against God and the church in creative ways.
• Encourage Christians to be completely authentic in everything they do and say.
• Provide leadership for drama and arts, freeing pastoral and musical staff to focus on their ministry.
• Build and maintain expertise from which the body can to draw for the customary holiday productions.
• Support existing and future ministries with drama, the arts and production capabilities.
• Provide a visible example of how the teachings of scripture play out in contemporary life.
• Hold up a mirror through which we can see ourselves from a heavenly perspective and either laugh or cry.
• Provide a sound base from which those called to drama and arts ministries may progress.
• Give a visible place for Christian youth to minister to the whole congregation, building boldness and unity.
• Contribute to the discipleship of those who participate in the drama and arts ministry.
• Assist in the raising of funds to support AG missions and building projects.

approach

• Meet bimonthly to maintain spiritual and technical unity.
• Build discipleship and team unity through the established AG family care curriculum.
• Build a variety of personal and technical skills within the congregation through well developed workshops.
• Construct, pursue and adjust a rigorous schedule to use talents and skills to achieve the above purposes.
• Build up cinematographic equipment and writing and production skills.
